Our Favorite Neutrals

A neutral is defined as one without color or a color that does not attract attention.  Some examples are beige, ivory, taupe, gray, black or white.  I think that a neutral can absolutely attract attention when worn properly.  All you have to do is add a little of your own personality to it to make it pop.

Karen’s “go to” neutral is cream or ivory.  Whenever she likes a top and there are several choices, she is always drawn to cream.  It feels a little more “dressed” up.  It also looks great with other neutrals but can be used to tone down an outfit when wearing a bright or loud color.  And cream looks especially nice with jeans as well!

My go to neutral is gray.  Lately, everything that I have bought has been gray or gray and white, like this top from Forever 21.  I wear a lot of black and I gravitate towards gray because it goes so well with black.  I think it softens the look of it. Here,  I added a little pop to my favorite neutral with another neutral … my black necklace.
